I didn’t grow up wanting to be a bookkeeper. It wasn’t even on my radar.
One day I was sitting with some ladies from my church and someone mentioned bookkeeping. I remember thinking, wait… people actually get paid to do that? I was curious right away.
At the time, I was a bank manager mentoring a team of young professionals. I loved teaching them how to build confidence, set goals, and take ownership of their work. I also loved the numbers, the structure, and the feeling of helping people make sense of their finances.
Bookkeeping ended up being a natural extension of all those things, the order I enjoyed and the connection I craved.
Then life shifted. I married a man who is steady, loyal, and dependable enough that I could stay home and raise a family, something I never thought was possible in my past before him.
That stability gave me the space to slow down, think differently, and build something that fits my life instead of running my life. That’s when Accountable Bookkeeping Solutions took shape, right in the middle of babies, nap schedules, and faith that it would all work out.
